As you enjoy another sunny Saturday in Proctor, be sure to walk past Washington Elementary. The school’s fence will be ablaze with colors as the Tacoma Modern Quilt Guild and South Sound Modern Quilt Guild showcase their favorite works. Members will be there to chat about patterns and colors and their favorite triangles. It’s art! It’s useful! It’s a hug handed down the generations! *This is not a PDA sponsored event. / Event will be cancelled if rain is in the forecast.

Did you know that October 4th is National Walk To School Day?  Washington Elementary students will meet in the Safeway satellite parking lot and walk to school between 9:30-9:50a.m.  They will have crossing guards and TPD presence so join in on the fun and walk to school!

Help us reach our goal of 800 pairs of shoes!! Accepting new, gently-used, good condition shoes (running shoes, canvas shoes, gym shoes, non-metal cleats) in all sizes.  Not accepted - metal cleats, shoes with rips / holes / tears, single shoes, or soiled / muddy shoes. Place your shoes in the donation box in the lobby of Washington Elementary (2615 N. Adams St.) or in any of the donation boxes located throughout the school.  Help raise funds for teachers grants, assemblies, family events, and more!
