Compass Rose Tacoma is pleased to introduce our Maker of the Month, Crane Crafts! We will be featuring delightful origami earrings by 12 year old artist, Maya Crane, through the month of May. Maya will also be hanging out in the shop with us on May 13th, 10am - 3pm so swing by and say HELLO. Her hand crafted earrings will make the best Mother's Day gift!! Who is Maya? Here is a bio in her own words. We think she's a doll! Hi, my name is Maya and I am a local 6 th grader. I love to fold origami, ride my unicycle and be active. One day my older sister asked me to fold a pair of origami crane earrings for her. I tried and they turned out great! She wore them and her friends started asking where she got them – they wanted a pair! From there, Crane Crafts was created.
